Does RecordSlip upload my receipt photos?
No. Recognition starts on your iPhone. If a Pro user enables Improve Uncertain Fields, RecordSlip may send OCR text, confidence, and normalized line positions for uncertain required fields. It does not send the receipt image or your corrections. See the Privacy Policy.
Why does a receipt need review?
RecordSlip intentionally flags ambiguous merchants, dates, totals, unresolved tip lines, and amounts without arithmetic evidence. Compare the highlighted source area and correct the field before export.
Can I use RecordSlip without a subscription?
Yes. Free includes 15 successful scans per calendar month, local review, saved-record access, full data export, CSV, and manual iCloud backup and restore. Pro adds 300 monthly scans, Excel, reusable export templates, and optional uncertain-field enhancement. A one-time 100 Scan Pack adds successful scans without starting a subscription.
How do I change or cancel a subscription?
Open RecordSlip, go to Plan & credits, and choose Manage or change subscription. Apple handles billing and plan changes. Monthly and annual plans provide the same benefits; a billing-period change normally takes effect on the next renewal date. You can also manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
What does Restore Purchases restore?
It restores active auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple. Scan Packs are consumable and remain in the current installation’s Keychain; Apple does not restore them on another device.
When is a scan charged?
A Free, Pro, or Scan Pack credit is consumed only after recognition succeeds. Failed imports or recognition attempts do not consume a credit. Pro includes 300 successful scans per calendar month; after that, available Scan Pack credits are used.
How do I export or erase my data?
Open Settings & privacy. Export all data and images creates a ZIP containing your records and assets. Erase local workspace removes receipt records, images, projects, templates, export history, and local quality counters. Limited Keychain purchase and usage state remains to prevent duplicate free or paid credits. Manage iCloud backups separately through the available app or Apple controls.
Why is online enhancement unavailable?
It requires an active Pro subscription, the enhancement toggle, a supported signed device, and a reachable service. RecordSlip falls back to local recognition whenever authentication, App Attest, network, or AI processing fails.
Is RecordSlip tax or accounting advice?
No. RecordSlip prepares records for review and export. Verify all values and consult a qualified professional for tax, accounting, or legal advice.
